MOSAICA November

 2009 Newsletter

Well, the warmer weather is on its way and it’s a great time to get those Christmas and Summer Mosaic projects underway.

Short on ideas for Christmas presents??  Well how about a set of Mosaic Coasters.  Coasters are a quick and easy project to make and if you use glass tiles, then you can make patterns that don’t require any cutting!!    How easy is that??!!   We have a great range of glass tiles in stock, so call in and take a look!!

Take a look below at these Coasters for an idea.  All you need is a small tile to use as your mosaic base and then some glass tiles to make your pattern.  Using a ceramic tile as a base means that it is heat resistant and is perfect for tea or coffee cups and even that warm cup of Winter Milo.  They are so quick to put together and make a unique gift idea.

Make just a couple of them, a set of 4 or even a set of 6 – whatever you fancy.  They’d look great on an outdoor table over the Summer, or even at the beach bach.

And for those of you who want something a little larger, how about a mosaic hot mat that can be used inside or out.  Also a great colourful feature on your outdoor table over the Summer.  Using a larger tile as your base, which is heat resistant, these make an ideal gift.  Personalise it to someone’s interests.    Here’s one below, that is done on a musical theme.  What do you think ??

And to stop scratching the table, just put some felt feet on the bottom and they’re ready to go.

Small, simple projects that are quick and easy.  Just what you want at this time of year !!  J

So, what are you waiting for, pop into Mosaica for your supplies and whip up some of these fast and fabulous Coasters and Hot Mats for your friends and family this Christmas.

Now that the days are longer, there is plenty of time to get on with those garden activities and soak up some long awaited sun.  So what could you mosaic to add some colour to your garden??  How about a piece of wall art, or a garden paver, perhaps a bird bath or a concrete garden ball, maybe even your letterbox or some numbers for your house or gate … The ideas are endless and only limited by your imagination.

At Mosaica, we have everything you need to get those Summer Mosaic projects happening.  Take a Mosaic project away with you on holiday and get in the groove again.

For those of you who haven’t made any Mosaic projects for a while, call into Mosaica and see what we’ve been up to.  There’s sure to be something to inspire you from the range of Mosaic artworks that we have on display.  Ask us for advice, we’re here to help.
