What our Students have to say about Mosaica ...
My creative side has seen a few barren years and after I saw some mosaic work done by a family member, I decided it was something that even I could do. I found Mosaica's website, enrolled and was patiently guided through my first four lessons by the friendly owner, Karen, and her daugher, Caroline, where I discovered different techniques and materials. Although slow to start, I am gaining confidence with their help and, with encouragement from my two classmates, have completed my first piece. I am looking forward to the next project which will probably be totally different. The possibilities are endless! The lessons are low-key and flexible. I know that Karen and Caroline will assist if I need help in the future. Everything that you require for mosaics can be purchased from their shop, where they have a huge range of materials and equipment available. Elizabeth, Bucklands Beach
Earlier this year when Mosaica opened, I was so pleased as I had been wanting to attempt this craft for a long time. Now I am totally hooked ! I started in the Beginners class and then continued on with the Advanced class, learning something new every week. I now turn out a new project every couple of weeks. Karen and Caroline are both so creative and have amazing ideas. Just check out the Mosaica studio. I look forward to my Wednesday class and the friendly chats we have whilst busy working on our projects. Choosing products and colours can be the most difficult part for me. The range at Mosaica is huge. Karen and Caroline are there to help with their expert advice. Gaylene, North Shore
I did a mosaic class to get an idea of how to mosaic and to find out what materials and tools I needed to use. I learnt many techniques including how to make a design, different cutting methods and how to ‘smash up’ a tile. The classes met my expectations and Mosaica provided a very good service. They were very flexible and fitted in with my strange work schedule easily. They were very patient with me. I found out about Mosaica from their website after doing a Google search. At Mosaica, there are a lot of materials to choose from and plenty of ideas. I like your uniforms ! I found the service at Mosaica great. They have a great range of supplies. I really enjoyed the course. Carolyn, Auckland
Very enjoyable classes. Very theraputic ! Good range of materials and lots of choice.

In my class, I learnt all the basics for mosaics. The range of materials and supplies was good. The service at Mosaica was great and very helpful. Emma, Auckland
While I was on holiday in New Zealand, I saw an exhibition in the St Heliers library in Auckland, which inspired me to contact Mosaica and enquire about mosaic courses. I joined a course and found it thoroughly enjoyable. My aim was to learn new techniques in mosaics, using unfamiliar materials. I learnt how to use glazed tiles, to cut more accurately and to attend to shape and planning. The time and attention has been generously given. The atmosphere is happy and positive. Everyone at all levels can be sure of enjoying their time and accomplishing a good result. Anna, West London, UK
Thanks so much for the "lessons." I really enjoyed the four Saturday mornings. You both have been very friendly and helpful throughout, I am sure you will be seeing me real soon!!! Linda, Dairy Flat
Thank you for your special attention. I've had a good time with you and Caroline. I will never forget this experience. Tatiana, Barcelona, Spain
Great fun and thanks so much for allowing me to do the course over the 3 days that I was in Auckland. Your service was great - friendly and helpful. Mosaica has all that I needed and plenty of selection of materials in the shop. The class met all my expectations. Thanks. Sandra, Wellington
Karen and Caroline are gifted teachers. Over one course, having never created a mosaic before, I learnt the techniques necessary to complete a mosaic. Their patience meant I could build my confidence to the extent that by my second project, I was undertaking a challenging task - a mirror. I was able to go back and have one-on-one sessions and the results are a credit to all of us. I am absolutely delighted with my progress. They are also very helpful in selecting and sourcing materials to complete this very rewarding craft.

Karen and Caroline, I appreciated you sending me a photo of my piece! Thanks. I truly enjoyed attending the course and learning the art of mosaics. You were both ever so helpful and encouraging and I thank you for your patience. I feel confident enough to continue on with my new skills and will call you if I need advice or support in any way. The one on one was just what I needed and the music helped keep the energy light. So thanks girls and if I don't contact you before Xmas have a funfilled one and be kind to yourselves. (My masterpiece looks fabulous in my new kitchen!!) Maggie, Waiheke Island
Karen and Caroline - I will definitely recommend your course to my friends, it's been fun. From having no confidence at all you have helped me create a masterpiece I am proud of. My family is very impressed! Karen and Caroline have a real gift for bringing out your ability, even if it is well hidden like mine. Thanks for helping me to relax and enjoy myself. I have come home with 3 projects from the Mosaica shop which has everything you need. Thanks again and I am looking forward to seeing you again soon. Anna, Greenhithe
Hi Guys - Thank you so much for a very enjoyable 12 weeks at mosaic classes. I had always planned to “have a go” at mosaics and when I heard you offered a four week starter course, thought I could squeeze it in my busy schedule. But somehow it became easier and easier to find the time to continue on. A warning for others – not only is mosaics addictive but at Mosaica it is also a lot of fun. See you again some time. Maureen, West Harbour Thanks for the photo. I enjoyed the course very much and it was great to have such a beautiful first piece to show off to everyone. It was great to have the individual attention and flexibility with times. It was also very convenient to be able to finish the course in a short time. Sandra, Orakei
